Mommy Mondays

The whole purpose behind our "Mommy Monday" posts are to show our mom followers how couponing doesn't have to take a lot of your time yet it can save you a lot of money and make your life easier!  Michele and I both understand, being moms ourselves.  So, let us help make your job even better than it already is now!

I work full time as a teacher so I do send my son to a sitter during the day.  I always make sure to send his favorite foods with him - including those little fruit bowls that are fast and convenient.  But honestly, they get super expensive when he can eat one a day.  So, take that times five and I'm spending about $3-$4 a week just on his mini fruit cups - plus I have all of his other snacks, lunches, juice, milk...you get the point.

So here's a tip:
--Buy canned fruit (in the light syrup for less sugar)  and stock up when you find it on sale.  Cut it up at the beginning of the week.  Then, put it in small containers and you're set for the week!

For example, this week at Meijer, Dole pineapple or mandarin orange cans are on sale 4/$5.
--Use two $0.50/2 (smartsource.com) which doubles to $1.  Final price = $0.75 per can

One can makes 5 good sized bowls - therefore I'm spending $3 a month rather than a week!

Take this quick tip and use it for your little ones.  Save yourself the time and money - it doesn't have to take hours a night to coupon, honey! :)

Happy Shopping! :)
