Walgreens Deals - Week of 1/15

Sunday, January 15, 2012

I decided to venture to a different Walgreens today -- and unfortunately I had a little bit of a problem.
--Tip #1 --Make sure you grab a Walgreens ad as you walk in the store!  The sale prices on some of my items weren't listed, so I had to shop with the ad to make sure I didn't mess up my transactions as planned.

--Tip #2 -- Make sure you watch the register and look at your receipt to ensure you are getting your savings and RR as advertised.  I had to kindly inform the manager that I had indeed met the required amount and should have received my $6 RR - despite the fact I had used coupons.  Don't be afraid to stand up for your savings! :)

There are a few good freebies this week at Walgreens, so be sure to check out the Dollar Deals page to see what products you can get for $1 or less!

I decided to stock up on cleaning supplies this week.  I found the Lysol Disinfecting Spray was on sale for $4 plus it had a free container of Lysol Dual Action wipes attached to it!  Moms, these wipes are great for highchairs and car seats.  I love to use the Lysol spray to clean my son's toys at the end of the night, too.

I spent $7.40 and got $6 RR back - so $1.40 for 5 Lysol sprays and 5 containers of Lysol wipes!

If you spend $20 on any of the following products, you can earn $6 RR back (remember, that's BEFORE coupons - don't let them tell you otherwise!!):

--Lysol Disinfection Spray -- sale price $4 --use $1 coupon (SS 1/1) -- final price $3.

--Lysol Wipes (these containers come with 2 for the price of 1!) -- sale price $3 -- use $1/2 wipes (SS 1/1).  Final price $5 when you buy 2.

--Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System -- sale price $8 -- use $3 coupon (SS 1/1).  Final price $5.

--Viva Paper Towels -- sale price $6 -- use $1 off 6 rolls or more Viva Paper Towels (SS 1/15).  Final price $5.

There's a few other ones you could add in there, but these are the most noteworthy products.  Also, check out Lysol's website for coupons if you need some more!

Here's a couple scenarios you could try out:

Transaction #1
--Colgate Total or Optic White Toothpaste -- sale price $2/6 -- purchase 2 and use two $1 off Colgate Total Toothpaste (SS 1/15) or $0.75 off any Colgate Toothpaste (SS 1/8).
Final price = $4 plus earn $2 RR.

Transaction #2
--ThermaCare single pack patch -- $2.49 earn $2.49 RR.
Final price = $2.49 plus $2.49 RR PLUS use your $2RR from Transaction #1 -- $0.49 is what you'll pay plus have $2.49 RR.

Transaction #3
--Abrexin Weight Loss Supplement -- sale price $10 and earn $10 RR.
Final price = $10 PLUS use your $2.49 from Transaction #2 -- $7.51 and earn $10 RR leftover -- FREE

Total for all three transactions = $12 (before tax) plus you'll have $10 RR leftover for next week.  So you'll pay around $2 for all of these products!

Happy Shopping! :)
