Recyle for Coupons?

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

No.  I don't mean dumpster diving (yet I'm sure a few of us could admit to this addicting action of treasure hunting).
However, I discovered this weekend a website called Recyclebank.  You can earn points for "going green" in your everyday life and then you spend those points on rewards, such as several high valued coupons for various products.
There are several different ways you can earn these codes.
For example, some Ziploc boxes that are specifically labeled contain codes that you can type in the code and get 10 points if you promise to recycle the baggies.  You can also type in your zip code if your area recycles and earn points just for recycling every other week with the local company.  Or you can take quizzes, like my stepdaughter and I did, and earn points real quickly and easily.  It's almost as addicting as Facebook - but you can earn points to get free coupons.

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Free coupons?  Yes, please!
