Tommee Tippee Explora Line Review

Wednesday, May 9, 2012

It is hard for me to admit that my little monkey man is getting older.  He is also becoming more independent like wanting to feed himself with his spoon and fork, sipping from a real cup and eating off an actual plate -- without picking it up and dumping it on the floor!

But as he grows, I need to make sure the utensils and tableware that I give him are age appropriate for him and his developmental levels.  I recently came across the Explora line from Tommee Tippee.  This line is specifically made for your tots are they grow, so each product is staged for their progress levels.  For example, the Explora line of sippy cups is great!  The cups start basic for your newbies with easy handles to practice gripping and holding the cup alone as well as an active valve sensor that makes sure your tot doesn't get too much liquid while drinking. I decided to try the no spill water bottle with my little Monkey.  It has taken him a few tries to get used to it, but now it's no problem at all!  I like the transition it takes him from sippy cup to spout.  Plus it makes him hold his mouth in the sucking motion, which according to my cousin's speech therapist, helps encourage speech and language as he starts talking.

I'm also obsessed with the Explora Easi-Roll bibs.  These bibs are perfect for ANY age.  They are made of a light material that make it super easy to wipe and clean, especially after a messy dinner.  The crumb catcher at the bottom of the bib is great for your tots who are working on self feeding because the food will fall into the handy pocket at the bottom of the bib rather than creating a huge mess on the floor.  After a meal, I take a wet rag and wipe down the bib, roll it up and store it away, out of sight, until it is needed for the next meal.  Whether you're having dinner at home or on the go, the Easi-Roll bib fits perfectly into a diaper bag and is convenient for any meal or snack situation!

Tommee Tippee's Explora line also offers a variety of tableware for tots.  The Explora Section Plates have three different sections for you to place your tot's food into at meal time.  This is great for my little picky Monkey because now I can ensure his food doesn't touch on his plate (Mr. Prince, I know).  Each section is angled, which makes grabbing and poking at food easier, especially since we have started encouraging my son to use his utensils while he eats.  You can also purchase the Explore Easi-Mat that keeps your Section Plate in place during meals and snacks.

Tommee Tippee's Explora line was created in stages to help your tot transition through drinking and eating developments with ease.  So if it's weaning your baby from the bottle or introducing self feeding, let the Explora line help guide your tot through these stages without that unnecessary stress.
