Did Somebody Say Yonanas?!?

My family, including myself, are HUGE ice cream lovers.  There's something about that sweet treat after dinner that hits the spot almost every night.  However, my stomach, thighs, arms and legs are not thanking me for the extra calories.  So, I needed to find a healthy solution to satisfy that evening sweet tooth.
I recently came across the Yonanas ice cream machine as I was browsing the internet.  This thing is genius!  It is a simple and healthy solution to my ice cream addiction!  The Yonanas ice cream machine uses frozen fruit that you place into the machine to create your own healthy ice cream.
Plus it is a great way to use those bananas that were almost too ripe to eat to turn into this delicious ice cream!

Here's how Yonanas works:
--Freeze your favorite fruits - bananas, strawberries, blueberries -- any fruits you love to eat!

--Place the fruit one at a time into the chute at the top of your machine.  Then, turn on the machine and use the plunger to push it down.  Make sure you press hard to help create the smooth texture!

--Continue until you've used your desired ingredients.

--Ta da!  You have a healthy frozen treat!

And I promise -- it's seriously so good!  I was a little skeptical at first because how good of ice cream could this Yonanas really make?

Amazeballs actually.

My husband was LOVING it too.  The ice cream is super smooth and sweet.  It tastes a lot like soft serve frozen yogurt which is my absolute favorite.

One of the great features of the Yonanas machine is the convenience.  When you're all done making your yummy frozen treat, take apart the Yonanas machine and throw the pieces into the dishwasher.  Less mess for mom is my kind of product!  Plus, it's small enough to fit into a cabinet or on the counter without taking up tons of space.

Recently I've been on a quest over the past few months to help my son gain weight (per doctor's orders).  This child is a serious picky eater.  Sometimes he won't even eat ice cream.  But I froze up some bananas and made him a Yonanas treat and he was in heaven!  Since I'm using fruit I don't feel guilty about making him more than one bowl a day if he wants one.  One bowl of Yonanas ice cream (about 1/2 cup) is just 100 calories!  Plus, the fruit you're using is full of the  antioxidants, nutrients and vitamins that your body needs to function on a daily basis.

Mmm.  Tasty!

Yeah, Mama!
(Please excuse the bruise under his eye.  We had a spill into the coffee table.  I know, total heart attack moment.)

So before you throw away those spotted bananas or you are ready to kick your ice cream cravings to the curb for a healthier alternative, grab your family a Yonanas ice cream machine.
Your kids (and thighs) will thank you!

Even Brady wanted in on the Yonanas too! :)
