Goodbye Horse Pills! Hello Premama!

Sunday, November 25, 2012

Alright mamas, whether you're expecting, trying to conceive or have little ones yourself we can all relate to these words:
horse pill
 Yes.
Those dreaded prenatal vitamins that are so important to the development of your growing baby yet are absolutely dreadful to swallow.
I remember in my first trimester with my son how first thing in the morning I was so nauseous there was no way I could swallow that prenatal.  Then, when I was supposed to take it at night I was so tired that I'd forget and then remember that I missed it and feel horrible.
My husband and I would love to have another baby soon, so I've started the prenatal regime again.  However, I'm not even pregnant and I can't help but gag when I take these huge pills!

I was recently given the opportunity to try Premama Prenatal Vitamin Drink and I jumped to the chance!  If I could barely handle these prenatal pills now, how I am supposed to when I do eventually get pregnant and endure the morning sickness again?
Premama is a prenatal vitamin only in a drink mix form!  It's similar to those little packets that you add to your water, only for the sake of the mama, it's a powder that contains all the vitamins and minerals that are necessary for a pregnancy!  You simply add a Premama packet to your choice of liquid - juice, milk or even iced tea, mix and drink away.  Premama Prenatal Vitamin Drink is flavorless so you don't have to worry about gagging on taste.  I promise, you can't even taste it. Just make sure you drink your mixutre within 5 minutes to help ensure the taste.  What's even better about this prenantal drink is that Premama has even shown that it can help relieve those nasty pregnancy symptoms such as constipation and morning sickness!

I know - I'm as excited as you are!

After a few days of trying Premama, I'm a huge fan.  I mix it into a glass of juice every morning and drink it while I'm on the road to school for the day.  It helps give me energy and I feel better knowing my body is getting enough of the essential vitamins and minerals, such as Biotin and Folic Acid, so if I would get get pregnant, my little fetus would be getting the nutrients it needed for healthy growth.  Plus, being a teacher I'm around every kind of germ possible!  So the dose of vitamins helps keep my own immune system healthy.
