Terrible TWOSday - Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Since I have lived here in Indianapolis (going on eight years my friends) I have never attended an Indianapolis Indians game.  Now that Cohen is at an age where I feel like it's okay to be a bit lenient on his schedule at times, I thought it would be a great opportunity to go spend a nice summer evening at Victory Field with the family!  We went to celebrate Sophie's birthday plus right now baseball is at the top of our monkey's favorite list.  Cohen woke up that morning reminding us that we were going to a "bayball game."  He was so sweet, carrying his glove around with him all day and insisting on taking it with us.  The weather was perfect and we spent the evening in the lawn eating amazeballs nachos, pretzels, popcorn, Cracker Jacks and sipping on lemonade.  Cohen was a little upset that he couldn't go out and play but once the game started he had fun watching for a second before he decided it was more fun to roll down the hill with his little girlfriend that he made friends with as soon as we got there.  Overall it was such a fun time and I think Sophie enjoyed her birthday night cheering on the Indians...who I think won but we had to leave way before it was over. (The game went into eleven innings my friends and finally ended at 11:30. You know I was long in bed catching up on my DVR then!)
