Stay Home for the Holidays with these Family Favorite Movies from NCircle

Disclosure:   This product review was made possible by NCircle Entertainment. I was not compensated for this review other than a product sample. All opinions are 100% mine.

As a new family of four, one of our new favorite family activities includes watching our favorite movies in front of the fire with a big bowl of popcorn.  Cohen loves his time with us and likes to choose a new movie every night - one that we own or one that's on T.V.  Lately he has been all about the Christmas movies, which is fine by me!  Before we switched cable providers we had a bunch of his favorite holiday specials recorded on the DVR so we have started to build back our DVR with some of his favs.  Luckily I was given the opportunity to review three holiday movies from NCircle that include two of his favorite shows -- Yo Gabba Gabba and Mike the Knight as well as a new one, The Snowman and a SnowDog.  Let's just say so far they have ALL been a huge hit!

Here's a little about each movie:

Mike the Knight: Mike's Christmas Surprise!

Mike’s Christmas Surprise! is packed with five stories (including a bonus episode), interactive games, a music video, and more!  When a special visitor surprises Mike for Christmas, excitement fills the air. The royal family decides to play a game, but Evie’s magic causes Christmas chaos. Will everything be back to normal in time for the Christmas feast?

Yo Gabba Gabba:  A Very Awesome Christmas Special

Two stories are contained on this festive new DVD releasing for the holidays.  In “A Very Awesome Christmas Special,” it's a Christmas celebration when DJ Lance places a gingerbread house into Gabba Land! The Gabba gang makes new friends with neighbors, and everyone is excited to exchange gifts – but what can they possibly get for Santa Claus?  In the story titled "Christmas,” the Gabba gang learns that even though much of Christmas is about receiving, there’s a lot of joy in giving to others.

The Snowman and the Snowdog

When a young boy and his mother move into a new house, the boy discovers a secret box hidden under the floorboards of his bedroom. In the box, he finds a hat, scarf, some lumps of coal and a shriveled tangerine - it's a snowman-making kit!  Later that day, when it starts to snow, the boy builds a Snowman and, with the spare snow left over, a Snowdog. That night, the Snowman and Snowdog come to life and take him on a wonderful adventure.  As dawn breaks they fly home, but before the boy returns to bed a magical surprise awaits him!

These movies have been the perfect addition to our holiday collection.  Cohen is in love with all three and constantly wants to watch them.  However, now our battle is rotating a different one each night so we aren't watching the same movie every night.  :)
But it's a battle I'm totally okay with right now.

You can also print a free Mike the Knight coloring page for your kiddos too.
Or as Cohen calls him "Nike the Knight."
Either way it's an opportunity for some fun coloring for the kids and quiet time for the moms.

Now head to your local retailers to grab these holiday favorites to add to your family collection.
Tis the season to enjoy time with your loved ones, so let NCircle Entertainment help you out.

Happy Holiday Movie Fun! :)

Win It!:   One lucky winner will win a set of all three (3) NCircle Entertainment DVDs that are mentioned above.  Open to US residents only.  Check out the Rafflecopter below for more details.

Baby Sebamed is Oh So Gentle for Your Little One's Skin

Disclosure:  This product review was made possible by Sebamed. I was not compensated for this review other than a product sample. All opinions are 100% mine.

In the words of Cohen's beloved Yo Gabba friends:
"Bath time is fun time!  We love our bath time!"

And yes, we do love our bath time!  Well, except for the one time Cohen decided to share a brown stinky surprise with me..but that's for another day.

Luckily, Cohen loves his bath time.  The kid may not enjoy sleeping (much to his mother's dismay) but he sure loves when I fill up our big tub with water, bubbles and his favorite toys.  The kid would play and swim until his entire body turned into a raisin if I let him.  He find its fun when I wash his hair and pour the cup of water over his head and he giggles away when I scrub soap on his little body.  I honestly love our bath time fun together - even if I feel like the Goodyear Blimp trying to bend over the tub right now...

I'm always looking for bath products to use on Cohen that are sensitive to his skin but also offer gentle cleansing and moisturizing components.  Plus, there's nothing better than a yummy smelling little one after a bath with super smooth skin!

Sebamed has an amazing line of baby products that are both hypoallergenic as well as soap-free.  I have been using this baby line of Sebamed with Cohen for a few weeks now and I really am loving this product!  Baby Sebamed has a pH of 5.5 and is free from colorants, nitro-mochus compounds, formaldehyde, nitrosamines and dioxan -- things we don't even want near our little one's skin in the first place!

.My favorite is the Sebamed Children's Shampoo.  It makes Cohen's hair so silky smooth plus has an amazing scent that isn't too overbearing yet still makes him smell like a yummy little baby.  The no-tears formula is also a huge plus as well as the soap and alkali free mild emollient formula which offers gentle cleansing action to minimize the risk of dryness or irritation.  I also have been using the Sebamed Baby Wash to clean his little body.  Like the Children's Shampoo, this Baby Wash is a non-tear and soap-free that is gentle and moisturizing and delicate for all little ones - including newborns.  It's super gentle and I use it everyday without worrying that it'll dry out his skin.

Cohen with his "shark fin" after a good lather, rinse, repeat with the Sebamed Children's Shampoo.

I'm really excited to start using the Sebamed Baby Lotion and Baby Cream on Baby Sissy when she decides to make her entrance.  Both of these products offer moisturizing while protecting the sensitive baby skin from drying out.   With my little one being born at the beginning of winter, I'm also looking for a great lotion or cream to offer that weather chaffing protection.  Sebamed Baby Cream offers vitamin E safeguards from the harsh winter weather as well as rash dermatitis prevention.  Sebamed Baby Lotion is perfect for everyday use and absorbs into the skin without leaving that greasy feeling afterwards.  Plus both offer that sweet, yummy baby smell that is one of my favorite reasons I lotion my babies up on a daily basis!

Overall I'm extremely impressed with my experience with my Sebamed baby products.  The baby line is gentle and safe for both babies and children, which is a great plus for me since I will have a toddler and a newborn to clean in the near future.  I can't wait to purchase some of these great products for my friends who are due with babies this winter and spring.  My next Sebamed purchase will most likely be the diaper rash cream -- can never go wrong with a good diaper rash cream for the bambino!

For more information, check out Sebamed's website to learn about their amazing line of baby products as well as their other lines of skin care products.

NickMom Knows Where I Really Want to Spend Thanksgiving #Motherfunny

Thursday, November 21, 2013

I love the Holidays!
Okay I take that back.  I love Christmas music (Mariah Carey and 'NSync to be exact) and shopping and good eats.
But what I don't enjoy is how the holidays are so demanding - especially Thanksgiving.  Don't get me wrong, I totally see no harm in stuffing my face with amazing Thanksgiving food.  However, I feel as if we are always pulled into twelve different directions on Thanksgiving Day.  I was browsing NickMom.com to get my daily funny fix and came across this oh so appropriate picture that describes our holiday decisions every year to a perfect T:
Where should we spend Thanksgiving?

http://www.nickmom.com/more-lols/decision-tree-where-should-i-spend-thanksgiving/

This picture made me giggle because my friends at NickMom.com totally get it.  (This is why I'm hooked on my favorite NickMom shows.)  Yes, Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks and be with our family and friends.  But it always has to be super complicated no matter what decision you make.

So what choices do I have?
 Please, let me share.

We have a few options here.

Option A:
Hosting Thanksgiving at my house.
However this option entails cleaning, cooking, preparing and then entertaining.  And then rinse and repeat once everyone has left.  Plus no matter how many amazing Thanksgiving decorations, table settings and side dishes I pin on Pinterest, I will not turn into Martha Stewart.  Let's be honest -- who has time to do any of those homemade cornucopia name cards anyway?

Not I said the mom of a wild and crazy three year old.

I see why you are questioning my judgement right now.
And I hear you coughing and muttering the phrase "Are you sure?" under your breath while you roll your eyes at me.

Then there is Option B:
Travel three hours north to spend the day at three, yes I said THREE, different Thanksgivings.

Let me share a snapshot of why Option B is just as appealing as Option A:
Our day begins with us out the door by 7 A.M.  In order for this to happen I must get up at 5:30, which we know never happens because of that thing on your phone called snooze.  Now, try getting a lazy and anxiety ridden dog, grumpy three year old and grouchy husband all out the door and into the car in an hour's time.

Yeah, you get my drift.

We then arrive at Thanksgiving #1 around 10:30 - My Father-in-Laws Family
Thanksgiving before noon should be outlawed anywhere. However, his dad understands that we have Thanksgiving #2 and #3 to still attend on that day so the earlier the better.  As I fill up my plate with stuffing and mashed potatoes at precisely 10:54 A.M., I am crossing my fingers that a bottle of bubbly will be waiting next to the orange juice at the end of the table.  Unfortunately my husband's dad is pretty religious and isn't really into Mimosas, Jack Daniels or any of the other cocktails that would make the day just that much better.  So I eat my first plate of the day sans my Champs and then spend the remainder of my time chasing Cohen away from the precious antiques and valuables that are in perfect eyesight.

By 12:30 we are headed to Thanksgiving #2 - My Mother-in-Laws
Still full from our Thanksgiving brunch, we arrive just in time for feast number two.  This is always a more relaxed dinner lunch and the best part -- my husband's step-dad has been thinking ahead because the glasses of wine are a flowing.  Usually this Thanksgiving meal consists of a few bites of green bean casserole and several glasses of Moscato.
By 2:00 P.M. Cohen is ready for a nap...and so am I (a wine induced nap usually).

Around 2:00 we head to Thanksgiving Feast #3 - My Family
By this time I feel like an overstuffed (and slightly tipsy) meatball.   Luckily I can hand Cohen off to finish his nap and I my husband can enjoy a quick catnap on the couch.

(I may get in serious trouble for this picture...)

Around 4:00 it's time for our final meal of the day.  Now we are post nap and have digested most of our meals, but seriously, how can one be hungry after two other feasts already?
Oh trust me, you will be hungry when you catch a whiff of my mother's mashed potatoes.
Yes.  You die.

By 6:00 our day has ended and I feel like Violet as she blows up into a blueberry from Willy Wonka.  Only if you'd pop me it'd be a huge disgusting pou pou platter of Thanksgiving trimmings-- not blueberry filled gum.

So now you tell me - where should we spend Thanksgiving?

Well don't worry, we've made our decision already for this year.
It was an easy one too.  Why you ask?
Baby Sissy is due on Thanksgiving Day so we will either be enjoying our Thanksgiving Dinner hospital cafeteria style or prepared by our friends at the local grocery store.
In our pajamas.  On the couch.
Most likely watching Cohen's favorite Nick shows and then NickMom for me as I'm nursing a newborn after everyone heads to bed.
That's why I love NickMom and how they cater to moms like us.  It's my perfect go-to channel at night when I'm winding down from my day as Super Mom.  Plus I can always count on a good belly laugh of a time.  You know, the kind you share when your with your family and friends as you celebrate your Thanksgiving traditions.  But whether it's a crazy Thanksgiving where you're pulled into twenty different directions and you slowly turn into a bubble person of stuffing or you're attempting to clean up your own kitchen (with a glass bottle of wine in hand) after a house full of family, NickMom will have you covered - both online and with their evening programming.

Trust me - we will all need a good laugh to end a day of family holiday chaos.

Be sure to follow NickMom on Facebook and Twitter -- you don't want to miss out on the #MotherFunny daily hysterics!

Win It! 8x10 Canvas Print from Easy Canvas Prints

Sunday, November 17, 2013

Disclosure:  This product review was made possible by Easy Canvas Prints. I was not compensated for this review other than a product sample. All opinions are 100% mine.

We have lived in our house for over a year now and I'm still decorating.  Call me lazy, sure but I call it the eye of a decorating perfectionist.  Slowly but surely I have been putting my personal touches on this house and things are finally coming together.  One thing that I've been sure to fill this house with this time around are more pictures.  Cohen is growing up so fast that I really want to document these fun years we have with him as a family.  Now with the addition of Baby Sissy any day, I have even more of a reason to fill this house with warm and exciting photos of our family.

We recently got some family pictures done for Cohen's third birthday and some maternity ones for myself to document this pregnancy.  Our friend Michele did an amazing job and I have several pictures chosen that I want to frame and send off to family and friends.  However, we have had this blank space on our wall in our bedroom for, well a year now that I haven't been able to decide what to fill it with.  My husband (fancy that!) suggested we look into a canvas print to fill that space.
Genius! Right?

I ordered an 8x10 canvas print through EasyCanvasPrints.com.  The process was super easy.  I uploaded my picture, chose my size and format and then it was processed and shipped my way!  One feature that I really loved was how I could preview how my canvas was going to look before I ordered it.  This was really helpful because I actually ended up choosing another picture because I liked the second print much better on my canvas.  Overall my experience with Easy Canvas Prints was easy and completely painless -- can we say WINNING??

Here's a close up of how my canvas turned out!  Gorge right?

My canvas print was waiting for me in less than a week.  I couldn't wait to open it up and put it up right away.  The quality of my canvas print is exceptional and honestly better than some canvas prints I have seen made.  I knew my canvas print from Easy Canvas Prints was the perfect solution to my blank space in my room.

What do you think?

Looking to make your house more of a home?  Check out Easy Canvas Prints to order some amazing pieces and turn your blah spaces into WOW spaces!

Don't worry though -- you can also WIN your own 8x10 canvas print from Easy Canvas Prints!

Baby #2 Update -- 38 Weeks and Fully Cooked!

Thursday, November 14, 2013

Make way for motherload....

Cue the music please -- and dim the lights...
IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!

I'm officially fully baked with Baby Sissy.  Kinda hard to believe yet I look in the mirror and think, "Umm, I'm not sure if I can get any bigger."  Yet I know I have because once again, those kind little people remind me that I look huge.
In the words of Dr. Evil -- "Zip it." or "www.zipit.com"
Don't be surprised if those words start coming out of my mouth anytime soon.  That'd be hilary actually.  I'd love to see the look on their face when I say that.

My friends threw me a sweet little Sprinkle last weekend which was so nice of them.  I got some super cute things for Baby Sissy and a poop ton of diapers.  Plus I loved the girl time - can never have enough of that!

So let's check in folks!

Due date:   November 25th -- 28th.  I've made some good progress these last two weeks at my appointments.  I knew Baby Sissy was low because I feel as if I'm going to pee my pants every 5 seconds.  One day I was walking down the hall after school and had to stop because I literally felt her drop.  Now every time I sneeze I pray to God that she stays kaput until I'm at home at least.  Please share your visualizations of the looks on a bunch of second graders' faces if I sneezed a baby out while reading a chapter of Charlotte's Web to them.  Dying at that thought really...

Gender: Girl...still  I'm thinking she has a name now!  We'll see what she looks like when she comes out to be sure.  However her room is JUST about done -- just a few little details and then I'll post some fun pics!

How do I feel? Like I could run a marathon of course!  Haha - such a joker I know.  I feel tired and I'm going to be honest -- totally over being pregnant.  I'm ready to put on my cute clothes and wear my boots and heels.  I'm also ready to be able to sleep on my back and breathe as well as drink a nice cold adult beverage.  Plus these sharp pains in my groins are redic -- seriously feels like a Charlie Horse times 234283.  Did anyone else ever experience these awful tearing sensation pains?  It literally feels as if I ran a mini and pulled a muscle.  Today I was limping all over the place, which I like to refer to as my "Pregnant Swag."  Please, don't call it a waddle, call it a swag because that makes it much cooler.  I'm not sure why people say the enjoy being pregnant, especially at this stage.  Probably because they never had to deal with morning sickness or a baby playing the Karate Kid on your bladder...

Cravings/Aversions?  Nothing, nada.  Except the fact that Cohen's enormous bowl of Halloween candy clearly is calling my name.  How can I say no to Skittles?  Let's be real here.

How do my clothes fit?  Sick.  I hate this question.  I'm missing my heels like nobody's business!!!  I attempted wedge boots this weekend and you should've seen my feet when I took them off -- Hello Fred Flinstone.  I'm trying to determine if my principal will allow me to wear yoga pants the remainder of my pregnancy.  Three cheers for Pajama Day this week by the way!   Maybe if I wear my sparkly Toms with my yoga pants and a cardi I can get away with it...

Sleep:  Well, besides the bathroom breaks, inability to breathe, restless legs and a dog that insists on snuggling with me, sleep is great.  All I have to say is TGFC -- Thank God for Coffee.
Movement:   Baby Sissy is a mover and shaker!  Her feet have switched sides of my body yet she is still very much low with her head down.  She likes to play this fun game where she kicks my bladder to remind me that even with the slightest amount of liquid it'd be fun if she could make me pee my pants.  Okay, I'll be honest with you -- Sunday I thought my water was leaking until I realized I just peed my pants.  Shhh.  Don't tell anyone.

My Exercise Routine: Haha is all I have to say.  Two workouts can be logged for last week.  Maybe I'll get three in this week.  But I'm definitely busting out the squats because apparently these will get labor started.

It's hard to believe that I'm full term now.  There ain't no stopping her if she decides to come now!  I have started a To-Do list which probably should have been completed last week.  Things like packing my hospital bag and installing the car seats -- you know, things you really don't want to be doing when you're panicked and your water is leaking everywhere.  I just need to keep telling myself, "It'll get done."

Hey moms, what are some things that I'm forgetting?  What are some MUSTS for the hospital bag?

Beautiful Skin Moisturizer and Revitalizer Review and Giveaway

Sunday, November 10, 2013

Disclosure:  This product review was made possible by Trusted Health Products. I was not compensated for this review other than a product sample. All opinions are 100% mine.

I'll admit it - I'm one of those people who is constantly looking in the mirror for things to pick and prod at on their face.  This pregnancy has been rough on my skin this time around.  I've went from seriously breaking out to super oily skin to super dry skin and now at the end things have finally gone back to normal just a bit.  But when I was asked to test out Beautiful A.M. Moisturizer and P.M. Revitalizer I was definitely up to it -- anything to help normalize my skin again sounded like a plan to me!

One of the most appealing reasons I wanted to try out the Beautiful product was the fact that it is made from 100% pure and natural botanical oils without any chemicals.  Being pregnant, I'm a little more hesistant to try things out on my skin, especially if i don't know the products or ingredients in it.  But Beautiful A.M. Moisturizer and P.M. Revitalizer contain no parabens, chemicals or GMOs-- so no additives at all!  Beautiful uses a combination of extracts from fruit, nuts and plant to give your skin that glow and tone that you are always looking for in facial products.

I started using Beautiful A.M. Moisturizer in the mornings and the P.M. Revitalizer before I headed to bed about a month ago.  At first I was nervous because my skin can be super sensitive and I was afraid I'd wake up with zits and blackheads everywhere.  I knew that a breakout was expected the first few days as my skin got used to the natural product.  But I was amazed at how my pores seemed to shrink and my skin seemed tighter and smoother within the first two weeks.  I was also a little hesitant because of the cold weather, my skin gets super dry.  However, Beautiful A.M. and P.M. moisturized my skin and kept it glowing all day long without feeling super greasy or oily.

Beautiful A.M. Moisturizer and P.M. Revitalizer offer a natural approach to skin cleansing and purification.  With it's combination of natural extracts from plants, fruits and nuts, your skin will not only feel better but glow and feel more youthful and moisturized than with your regular skin cleaning products.

Slacker I admit it.  However this weekend was ridiculously busy.  We had some crazy storms Thursday so Trick or Treating was moved to Friday here in Indianapolis.  Then Saturday I had a baby shower for a friend and dinner with friends.  Sunday was spent catching up on everything I failed to get to on Friday and Saturday -- you know, cooking, cleaning, loving on my Coco.

And now I sit here with some weird contractions trying to type this.  Baby Sissy loves playing uterus games -- she knows how to freak me out.

I think I need to focus on some deals peeps...
