The Day of the Super Dads

Sunday, June 15, 2014

Every year, Father's Day seems to sneak up on me. This year it came incredibly fast. However I was able to get together a fun little picture project of the kids for Kurtis to hang in his new office at work.  I also splurged and got him a gift card to Lowe's which is the man version of Target.

But what this day is all about is just showing my husband how much we appreciate him. I'll be honest, he can be super annoying about this day mainly because he likes to refer to it as "Fathers Day Week." But I'm excited to make our family breakfast, share our gifts and truly thank him for working hard for our family.

You are a hardworking and fun loving dad. Sophie, Cohen and Lola love nothing more than to be able to spend time with you laughing, playing and having a blast of a time.  Even though you may intentionally push my buttons because you think it's funny or love baseball more than you love me, I am very grateful to have you in my life.  But most importantly, I am thankful that you get to help me watch our little babies grow up.

Happy Father's Day, Babe!

But of let's not forget my own flesh and blood - my own daddy-o!  I'm glad I didn't make your hair turn too gray during my wild days in high school.  I appreciate your wisdom, help and patience with me -- especially when it comes to my math skills.  Thanks for showing me what being a parent is all about, even if you couldn't (but probably chose not to) hear me asking for money.  You are the best Papa to Cohen and Lola and our lives wouldn't be complete without you!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy-o!

Now go celebrate those special men in your lives!
