Project 52 - Week 7

*A photograph of each of my children, once a week in 2015*

Cohen
Naps are nonexistent these days, which breaks my heart a little bit I can't lie. However, we recently have found a favorite spot in the basement together, snuggled under our blankets with the space heater blaring on high.  But on Sunday, as I was getting ready to drag my blanket beside him on the couch he informed me that it was his "quiet time" and he "needed to be left alone with some peace and quiet."  So I walked back upstairs feeling sorry for myself but was also wondering if he  is starting to fully appreciate the beauty of a good rest time these days.

Lola
We have finally surpassed the horrible molar hump and are seeing a bit more of our sweet little girl.  She definitely played sleep catch up this weekend and has been back to her talkative and loving self.  The girl loves her some music and freely moves to the music.  Kurtis said that everyday he gets her out of the car to take her into her sitter's house she is jamming away in her seat.  I love that both of my kids enjoy music as much as I do -- I foresee many concerts in our future.

  3. Looks like your boy needed quiet time just as your daughter started talking more. Glad she's happier now though!

  4. I love that photo of Cohen! Yes that quiet time is priceless and something to be appreciated. I hope you were able to enjoy a little "me" time as well :-) As much as we like to see our little ones become more and more independent that cuddle time is so yummy!

  5. I love that picute of Cohen! It is so important for our little ones to enjoy some quiet tine alone but hard when you end up missing out on such special cuddles... I hope you took advantage of some quality "me" time for yourself :-)

  6. I hate those days without a nap. :) I plan my day acording to nap and when it doesn't happen, I'm devastated :)

  8. My middle child still naps, and I adore it. I wish I could convince all of them to at least rest for twenty minutes so I could have a second to catch up.

  9. You have to take some videos of Lola 'jamming" and share them - I love watching videos of little ones dancing!

  10. Aww, it's hard when they start wanting to do things on their own. I'm sure you'll have plenty of music jams in the future.

  11. How adorable! That sounds like something my son would say. I guess we all need our time alone. :)

  12. So sweet! I have found with my oldest, the naps come and go. He wants them gone for good.. but we still work on "quiet time". Seems like about half the days he reads and the other half he conks out.

  13. Such sweet pics! How very mature of your son to ask for "his quiet time", lol. I remember the days when naps were becoming a thing of the past. harsh.

  14. It's great that you can still find time to snuggle together. They do grow up fast. Such adorable pics.

  15. Aww they are precious. Yeah the teething stage can be a bit of a rough spot.

  16. My kids loved music every since they were little. My husband started them off with classical music. They don't listen to that now but I LOVED the days when they did lol. Now it's pop this and pop that.

  17. So cute. This is a great way to document how much your little ones grow and change month to month and over the course of a year. I really wish I'd thought to do something similar when my kids were younger.

  18. My son was strange in that once he was 3, he quit napping. Unless we were on a long car trip (over 2 hours), he just wouldn't sleep during the days. He's always slept well during the nights, though. I love seeing your photos every week!
