My Dearest Cohen Lee,
It is hard to believe that five years ago I was awaiting this same impatient journey of motherhood. Your entrance should have been the first indication of your personality -- rough, tough and full of life...on your own time of course. While you may be all boy, you have the biggest heart. You are all snuggles and cuddles and I secretly love when you sneak into our bed at night and fall right back to sleep.
In a few short weeks you will become a big brother once again! You have been a great big brother to Lola and I can't wait to see how you will be with Baby Sissy #2. You definitely understand the importance of your role - kisses, hugs and lots of teasing. I'm still in denial that next year you'll be in Kindergarten. But you have no problem reminding me that, "It's okay. I'll still be your kid."
Even though you can run my patience thin, I'm excited to be able to stay home with you this last year before you do start the big K. While I'm glad you will still be able to learn and play with your friends three times a week at Pre-K, I am also looking forward to the cold days where we stay in our jammies all day and make blanket forts all over the house.
I cross my fingers, toes and eyes that you handle this transition smoothly, just like you did with Lola. But don't forget one thing - you were my first baby and I love you to the moon and back!
