November Birchbox Favs

Saturday, December 5, 2015

Once upon a time I loved to take the time to get all fancy and do my makeup and hair.
Long gone are those days...

But my sweet sister signed me up for 6 months of a Birchbox subscription for my birthday and I have to say I get super excited every month I see that cute little box in the mail.  I thought I'd share with you my boxes every month as well as what I liked and didn't like to maybe entice you to try out your own box one month.  It's really cool because you can customize your own box as well as share your favorite items and the things you are aren't go big on, like the gold eye shadow I got last month.

Okay, so here goes (from left to right):

Liz Earle Superskin Moisturizer with Natural Neroli
Okay, I have no idea what neroli is but I really like this moisturizer.  I'm weird about trying new moisturizers out too because my face will break out in about a million zits.  But I've been mixing a bit of this with my tinted moisturizer and it makes a great base before I put on my bronzer and blush.  It is a little heavy, but if you just use a dab it works great and it's perfect for dry skin during the winter.

Temple Spa La La Lagoon shower gel
I give this an average rating.  Do I love it? No.  Do I hate it? No.  But it does have a strong scent and is a bit more masculine smelling than I like.  Definitely don't plan on purchasing this in the future.

Living Proof PHD Dry Shampoo
If you know me then you know I am UHb-sessed with dry shampoo in general.  This stuff is amazeballs.  It smells great plus it gives your hair just a bit of a volumizing boost at the roots.  I will definitely be purchasing a full size can of this beaut because I use it at least four times a week.
Please don't do the math to figure out how many times a week I actually wash my hair...

Loc One and Done Shadow Stick
I think I could probably like this shadow stick if it was in a different color.  It's a bit heavy and thick, but it would be nice if I just wanted a basic color and not have to add any other accents to my eyes.  But really, I'm not a gold girl so the color is not my thing.

Make Face Gloss
I have to be honest, I'm not quite sure how to really use this gloss.  I think it's supposed to be used on your cheeks for a nice "glow" but again, I'm not sure.  So it probably wasn't one of my favorite products...

I'm kind of excited to get back to my beauty roots.  It's always fun to dress up, do your hair and put on some makeup.  However, it is can also be just as amazing to put your hair in a top knot and throw on some yoga pants.

What are some of your must have beauty products?  Have you ever tried out Birchbox?

xoxo,
