*A photograph of each of my children, once a week in 2015*

Here we are -- the final week of 2015.  I feel like every year the New Year sneaks up on us yet the beginning of each year creeps slower than a snail.  I thought I'd share the first week of the year's picture as well as the last week's to compare how much my sweet children have changed throughout the year.  I'm sure you hear this all the time but your children really do grow up way too fast.

This kid literally went from little guy to big boy in a year.  I love the age of five for so many reasons.  He is so much more independent, loves to help out and is so eager to learn new things.  Recently we have started reading Magic Tree House books at night and the kid is eating up the adventures with Jack and Annie.   My heart aches at the memory of this little one as a baby.  He's my special boy that we waited long and hard for that finally made me a mom.  But I'm excited for this upcoming year with new adventures - new sports teams, lots of summer fun and most importantly, our big year of Kindergarten.  Insert crying emoji right here...

Oh this sweet little diva.  Look at that horrible black eye too.  It took about two years, but she finally grew some hair.  While she still looks a bit like Bill Murray from KingPin or Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future, it's growing and we are making progress.  Lola is Miss Sassafras and it will be her way or the highway.  I am enjoying mostly every minute home with this sprite but I'm afraid we have created a bit of a mommy attachment.  I literally can't go upstairs to get my shoes without her calling, "Mommy, where are you?"  When she's not being a stink, she's really the sweetest, most caring child ever.  I'm excited to see how her relationship with Remy grows this year when she realizes that her sister is actually more than a crying, pooping, eating blob.

While this one hasn't made her appearance the entire year, she did make it the last ten weeks.  Lately Remy is smiling and laughing more as well as looking at people when they are talking and giving us a response back.  As you can see, girlfriend loves her milk, however I do promise that this chunk chunk has a neck.  This next year will be super fun to watch how she grows and even though I'm tired and could literally drink a gallon of coffee every day and still be tired, she won't be like this for long and I need to cherish every moment.

Goodbye 2015 - Hello 2016!

  1. Aww, your kids are so cute! It was neat to see the comparison from a year ago. I remember the days when they always wanted mommy. With one in college and one a Senior, I long for those days.
